September 26-27, 2000 Guest Speaker: Rev. and Mrs. Verne Asbury

Friday

Family Rally -7:30 p.m.

Bonfire/Hot dog roast (Bring your own food.)

Dorms available for lodging, each family responsible for own bedding, also for own meals (hot dog roast items, breakfast and lunch);

Rock Lake Youth group will be selling sloppy joes and other snacks as a fund raiser.

Saturday

Coffee Bar -9:00 a.m. Family Fun and Games -12:30-2:00 p.m.

Family Session -10:00 a.m. Clean up -2:00-2:30 p.m. Lunch -11:30-12:00 p.m.

Recommended cost per family is $10

(PLEASE NOTE THAT BEDDING AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED BY THE CAMP.)

Conference President's Note

Saundy and I will leave tomorrow to meet at Village Park Bible Methodist Church, Westfield, Indiana, for working meetings with Bro. Sams, Bro. Hedstrom and Bro. Parker. We will be fine tuning a new missions handbook on Friday afternoon and Saturday. We will be with Pastor and Mrs. Jason Lindahl at Ironwood for Sunday services. Monday we will meet with Bro. Dan Stetler as we prepare for Combined Ministerial. It is our plan to swing around by Cincinnati to see our guys and the Rock Lake youth at GBS before we return on Wednesday.

Church picnic

We had a great church picnic this evening! Thanks to all who chipped in and helped supply everything.

Unfortunately, the team I was on lost the softball game, but hey, it makes more humble and spiritual. :-)

Missions service...

Our family enjoyed having the Sankey family here for missions service
this morning at our church. They did a great job presenting how God is
working in their lives and in the work of Mexico. Having repeatedly
expressed prayer in church for Logan Sankey over the last number of
months, and hearing ABOUT them, it was great to actually see them in
person!

Tait Clarke passes away

I just received word that a senior from our church, Tait Clarke, has passed away. Please remember Ilene and the family in your prayers.
Funeral is Wednesday at 2PM in Sarnia...more details to come.
